Any Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) employee, full or part-time, of a legally formed SWCD in the Commonwealth of Kentucky who aspires to improve their professionalism, develop a network to share experiences and ideas, assist in area, regional and state conservation initiatives, and increase their knowledge of soil and water conservation programs should consider joining KACDE. In addition to regular memberships, non-voting associate (i.e. supervisors, NRCS personnel, etc.) and corporate memberships are available. The strength of any organization is in its membership. We strive to give employees of Kentucky’s 121 conservation districts a voice in helping to develop a higher level of professionalism within their offices and to make them inclusive in policies and decisions that affect conservation in their workplaces. As a larger body, we help chart a direction that provides an opportunity for SWCD employees to play a more active role in the successes of our conservation districts and the conservation movement in Kentucky. To become a member, submit the attached membership form with your annual dues and become active in your area and at organizational functions.
