KACDE Kentucky Shine Award

Each month, area representatives will nominate a person, or persons, to be selected as the Kentucky Shine Award.  For the last three months, the KACDE Governing Board will decide nominees for the award.  This award is to recognize the District Employees who have risen above the call of duty and have done something outstanding for their Conservation District, or perhaps their region, state, or national level.

All of the winners for the monthly KACDE Kentucky Shine Award are eligible to win the KACDE Employee Choice Award that is awarded each year.  The state winner will be forwarded to the Southeast Region for competition.

Below is a schedule of area representative nomination rotation.  Nominations should be made on the formal KY Shine Award Nomination Form and sent to Wanda Gilbert of Cumberland County Conservation District by the first Monday of the month.

KACDE State Employee Choice Award

KACDE is excited to announce we have two winners for the "Employee Choice Award" on the State Level for 2007.  Stephanie Young from Boyd County has been chosen as the State District Employee winner. Danny Blevins from Boyd County has been chosen as the State District Official winner.  Congratulations, we know each of you deserve this honor!

KACDE would like to wish them both good luck as they will compete for the Southeast Conservation District Employee of the Year.  Kentucky has been lucky as all of their past state winners have won the Southeast District Employee of the Year and one has won the National District Employee of the Year.
