Individuals recommended should be qualified young men and women that are interested in agriculture and natural resource fields.  Citizenship in one's community is an important factor in the selection process in the scholarship program.  Conservation districts, Auxiliary members and college counselors are encouraged to make students aware of this scholarship.  This scholarship is becoming sought after among college and high school students across the state because selected students in the past have proven worthy of such an honor in their field.

Applications are available through the Fayette County Conservation District.  It is required that the applicants submit the following information:

(1)     Two letters of recommendation,

(2)     Most recent transcript, and;

(3)     Completion of a comprehensive essay.

Below is more information relating to the scholarship application.

Since 1979, the KACD Auxiliary has helped to send numerous young people to the school of their choice with the State Conservation of Natural Resources Scholarship.  Educating our youth for tomorrow will be beneficial to all those concerned with the wise use and management of our natural resources.  Thank you for your interest and support.
